Bengaluru Power Cut: Residents in several parts of the city may experience temporary power cuts this weekend as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) is likely to carry out routine maintenance work, particularly in neighbourhoods where power supply is frequently interrupted.

BESCOM often schedules power cuts during the weekend to minimise disruption to offices and commercial areas. The utility uses this window to upgrade transformers, replace cables, and carry out essential maintenance work, resulting in short-term inconveniences for residents.

Bengaluru Power Cut: Which Areas Are Likely To Be Affected?

While the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has not released an official, citywide list for this weekend, recent maintenance patterns and utility alerts indicate that select neighbourhoods in East and South Bengaluru are most likely to be affected, typically between 10 AM and 4 PM, News18 reported.

Residents in the following areas are advised to stay prepared for power outages over the weekend.

- Bommanahalli, HSR Layout, Kudlu, Jakkasandra, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road surroundings, Marathahalli, Whitefield pockets, KR Puram, Mahadevapura, Banaswadi, Horamavu

- While power cuts are typically scheduled for a few hours during the day to minimise inconvenience, the exact timings may vary based on the type of maintenance work and weather conditions.

- Residents in these areas are advised to charge essential devices, including phones, laptops, and power banks, early in the morning and complete essential online tasks before 10:00 AM to avoid inconvenience.
