Bengaluru Power Cut: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced that several regions of Bengaluru will witness power cuts on Monday due to the maintenance work. The authority stated that these regions are set to witness a power outage for seven hours between 10 am and 5 pm. It further stated that the power will be restored once the maintenance work is finished, further advising the residents to plan their day accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. The KPTCL has conducted maintenance work in several regions of the capital city in the past few weeks, leading to the power outages.

Earlier on January 2, the BESCOM announced power supply disruptions in Bengaluru till 19 in view of maintenance work. However, the authority asserted that the supply will be restored if works are completed ahead of schedule. During the affected 17 days, power cuts will occur in L&T, RMZ Next, Ragihalli-Siddapur Gate, EPIP Layout, TCS Software, SJR Tech Park, M/S VSNL Feeder, Reliance Big Bazaar, Oriental Hotel, Airtel, Gopalan Enterprises, Sada Tech Park, Qualcomm, Qualcomm-2, GE BE Company, EPIP Industrial Area, and surrounding areas, an official release stated.
The authority has advised the residents of these regions to follow the guidelines and plan their days accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. In another unrelated update, the weather department stated that the capital city Bengaluru is likely to witness cloudy skies and light rain for the next two days.
While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 28 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 17 degrees Celsius. The IMD has advised the commuters to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
