Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: The Bengaluru Traffic Police on Thursday issued a traffic advisory announcing a three-day closure of Marathahalli bridge, a key link between the city's technology hubs along the Outer Ring Road and Whitefield.

According to the traffic advisory, vehicular movement on the Marathahalli bridge will be prohibited daily from 12 AM to 3 AM between March 27 and March 29 due to ongoing metro construction.

In a post on X, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said, "In view of Metro work by BMRCL in the limits of HAL Airport Traffic police station, on Varthur Main Road at Marathahalli Bridge, all types of vehicular movement is prohibited for 03 days starting from 27.03.2026 in order to ensure smooth flow of traffic."

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Check Restricted Routes

- Vehicles travelling from the HAL side towards Varthur/Whitefield via Varthur Main Road and Marathahalli Bridge will be temporarily restricted.

- Vehicles coming from Varthur/Whitefield towards HAL via Varthur Main Road and Marathahalli Bridge will also face temporary restrictions due to the ongoing metro construction.

Check Alternate Routes

- Vehicles From HAL Towards Varthur/Whitefield: Vehicles from HAL are advised to go via Varthur Main Road, turn left at Doddanekkundi Junction, continue to Kartik Nagar Junction, then reach Outer Ring Road. Turn left and take a U-turn under Doddanekkundi flyover, proceed via Alpine Eco Road to Anjaneya Junction, then continue on Kandahalli Main Road and Graphite Road to reach Whitefield/Varthur.

- Vehicles From Varthur/Whitefield Towards HAL: Vehicles coming from Varthur/Whitefield can go via Varthur Main Road, turn right at Kundalahalli Junction, continue on Kandahalli Main Road to Anjaneya Junction, turn left onto Alpine Eco Road to Outer Ring Road, then turn right at Kartik Nagar Junction, continue on Doddanekkundi Main Road to Doddanekkundi Junction, and finally turn right onto Varthur Main Road to reach HAL.

- Alternative Route From Varthur/Whitefield Towards HAL: Vehicles from Varthur/Whitefield can go via Varthur Main Road 10 Vilgyee Junction, turn left onto Vibgyur School Road to Balagere Main Road, turn left to Kadabeesanahalli Junction, then left onto Outer Ring Road to Marathahalli Bridge Junction, and finally left onto Varthur Main Road to reach HAL.
