Bihar Railway News: In a major update for the residents of Bihar, train operations will remain affected on Friday due to the ongoing non-interlocking (NI) work for doubling of the Bettiah-Majhaulia section of the Samastipur division. While providing details, the authority stated that while some of the trains might face delays, other services will be diverted due to the works. The railway has advised the passengers to stay updated and plan their travels accordingly to avoid inconveniences.

Multiple Trains Diverted 

As per the reports, the 12557 Saptkranti Express from Muzaffarpur to Anand Vihar will depart three hours behind schedule, while the 12211 Garib Rath Express will be delayed by two hours. The railway further stated that the 26502 Gorakhpur-Patliputra Vande Bharat Express will operate via Narkatiaganj–Sikta–Raxaul–Sugauli instead of its normal route due to the construction works.

Passenger Trains Cancelled 

Apart from this, the authority further stated that several other trains, including Amrit Bharat, Jananayak, Champaran Humsafar, and Awadh Express, will also remain diverted. The authority has also cancelled the passengers' trains and has decided to partially terminate other trains. The administration has urged passengers to check the updated train status before arriving at the station to avoid inconvenience.

Earlier on July 1, the officials stated that some of the special trains will continue to operate till November. The decision was taken considering the surge in the crowd and is likely to benefit the passengers of several districts, including Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Champaran, and Patna.

As per the latest advisory, the Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak-Raxaul (05557/05558) special train will now operate until the end of July. The special train will run from Raxaul every Tuesday until July 28 and from Lokmanya Tilak every Thursday until July 30. The train passes through several stations, including Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra, and DDU.
