According to Jagran.com report, the MLAs were initially trading sharp verbal attacks from their respective seats during the house proceedings. Suddenly, both stood up, began shouting loudly, and started moving towards each other. However, the situation was quickly brought under control after several MLAs from both parties rushed to separate them.

What Led To The Incident?

The moment reportedly took place when Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Verma took a dig at Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Atishi. He remarked that she had skipped the monsoon session to visit Goa and it reflected her seriousness toward proceedings. "Your government did not conduct even five Question Hours during its five-year tenure. Your Leader of Opposition being in Goa shows how serious you are. Today is such an important day for the daughters of Delhi, yet the Leader of Opposition is absent from the House," Mishra said.
