The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical movement which is set to hold a protest in Delhi on June 6, announced the appointment of three official spokespersons.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the CJP in an X post. The statement named investigative journalist Saurav Das as chief spokesperson, political researcher, author and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya, and an IIT alumna, former McKinsey employee Ashutosh Ranka as spokespersons.
"Investigative journalist Saurav Das will take on the role of Chief Spokesperson. Political researcher, author and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya and an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the global management consulting firm McKinsey, Ashutosh Ranka, will also take on the role of Spokespersons along with Das," the CJP said in a statement.
The statement reiterated CJP's commitment to change the political discourse of India while being led by the new generation of leaders.
"CJP is committed to changing the political discourse of India, and this will be led by a new generation of leaders," CJP said.
Das was among the many protestors who led the November 2025 agitation against Delhi pollution. Ranka will be a part of CJP's communication team.
CJP was launched as a social media movement last month following Chief Justice of India Surya Kant's remarks on unemployed youth. The movement registered itself as the fastest-growing social media page. It's found that Abhijeet Dipke, currently in the US, is set to return to India on June 6.
In his recent video appeal, he urged his supporters to meet him at the airport, from where he will approach the authorities to seek permission for a 'peaceful' protest on Jantar Mantar.
The CJP has claimed irregularities in the system and raised issues of paper leak, and the independence of media and judiciary.
