Coldplay Ahmedabad Concert: Ahead of the much-hyped Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad on Saturday and Sunday, Gujarat traffic police released an advisory to ensure a smooth journey for all the fans. The famous British music band Coldplay's concert is set to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium on both of the days. Almost one lakh people are expected to attend the mega music concert.
The traffic police urged the residents to use public transport to minimise the traffic congestion near the venue. The police also announced some restrictions for the fans, adding that violation of the rules may lead to high penalties. The police clarified that vehicles will not be allowed on Janpath T Junction that leads to the stadium's main gate, Krupa Residency T, and Motera T.

However, the police also suggested the alternate routes leading to the stadium. The traffic police stated that the vehicles can proceed from Tapovan Circle via ONGC Crossroads, Visat T Junction, Janpath T Junction, Power House Crossroads, and Prabodh Rawal Circle. Apart from this, police suggested the vehicles coming from Krupa Residency T Junction use Sharan Status to Apollo Circle via Bhat Koteshwar Road.
The advisory stated that the authorities have arranged 14 designated parking spots within 2.7 km of the venue. However, the fans must book parking spaces online via the ‘Show My Parking’ app. It further stated that while the two-wheeler parking costs Rs 150, the four-wheeler parking fee is Rs 500, Mint reported, citing Gujarat Samachar.
The police also stated that the fans can opt for the shuttle services from some of the spots to reach the venue. There are several parking spots where the shuttle services are available, including Railway Colony Playground, AMC Plot near ONGC Circle, opposite Matrushree Party Plot, and Khodiyar Tea Cross Road.
Earlier on Friday, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation announced that the frequency of metro operations will also be increased on Saturday and Sunday for the concert.
