Coldplay Concert: Ahead of the much-hyped Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad on Saturday and Sunday, Gujarat police have made tight security arrangements for the large crowd expected to turn up for the event. British music band Coldplay's concert is scheduled to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium on both of the days. Gujarat police stated that almost one lakh people are expected to attend the mega music concert.

Police stated that more than 3,800 police personnel have been deployed for the event. The police further stated that more than 400 CCTV cameras have been set up and a team of National Security Guards (NSG) will be deployed at the key locations of the city. Neeraj Kumar Badgujar, JCP Ahmedabad Police, stated that the crime branch team and other teams are also deployed ahead of the concert.

"Over 3,800 police personnel have been deployed, along with metal detectors and plainclothes officers, including female police officers and staff. The crime branch team and other branch teams are also stationed at the venue. Additionally, a network of over 400 CCTV cameras has been set up to monitor the event," Badgujar was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

He also stated that every individual will be checked thoroughly before entering the premises. "The police will conduct thorough checks on every individual entering the venue, with special barricading arrangements in place to ensure that no one enters without being checked," he further added.

The police stated that Ahmedabad city crime branch teams and the Special Operations Group will be available at the crucial locations of the city, including metro stations. The officials stated that three Quick Response Teams, along with one team of NSG, will be deployed at the prominent locations. They further stated that medical and paramedical teams are also going to be on alert.

The music band Coldplay is in India in connection to their "Music of the Spheres World Tour". Their first concert in India was at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 19 and 21.
