The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a new housing scheme that offers more than 30,000 flats of various categories in different locations. The scheme has received a great response from the public, with over 2,000 registrations in the first two days.
The registration process started on Friday and will continue till March. The booking of the flats will begin on December 2. The flats are available on a first come first serve and auction basis, depending on the demand and availability.
The scheme covers EWS, LIG, MIG and HIG flats in Dwarka Sector 19, Dwarka Sector 14, Loknayakpuram and Narela. DDA officials said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people for the scheme and the registration figures are expected to increase further in the coming days.

The flats range from penthouses and luxury flats for high-income groups to affordable flats for economically weaker sections. The prices start from Rs 5 crore for penthouses and go down to Rs 11.5 lakh for EWS flats.
The registrants will have to pay a nominal fee and will get at least 20 days to inspect the flats physically before bidding as per the scheme, which DDA said is aimed at providing quality housing to the citizens of Delhi and boosting the real estate sector.
