Delhi-NCR Air Pollution: As the national capital grapples with worsening air pollution levels, the Delhi government has announced 50 per cent work-from-home for offices and financial aid for construction workers whose livelihoods have been affected by the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
50% WFH For Offices Under GRAP-4
To combat the city's deteriorating air quality, the Delhi government has announced that all offices and business establishments must operate at 50 per cent physical attendance starting Wednesday, December 18. The remaining workforce will work from home.

The Delhi government has asked offices to introduce flexible working hours to further de-congest the city during peak travel times. While the private and public sectors must adhere to these restrictions, essential services, such as healthcare, public transport, electricity, and critical facilities, have been exempted from these restrictions.
Rs 10,000 Aid For Construction Workers
The Labour Department has announced that all registered construction workers will receive Rs 10,000 as compensation for the loss of work during the period when construction activity was halted under GRAP Stage 3. The shutdown lasted for 16 days while the national capital was under Stage 3 restrictions, News18 reported.

The compensation regarding the current GRAP Stage 4 measures will be calculated once those specific curbs are lifted.
Delhi AQI Today
Delhi’s air quality showed a slight improvement on Wednesday morning as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 328, slipping down from 377 on Tuesday. Despite the dip, the city’s air quality remains in the ‘very poor’ category.
A layer of smog persisted across the capital, leading to reduced visibility in several areas during the early hours on Wednesday.
