A 5-year-old girl in Delhi's Bawana area is have been allegedly raped and killed. According to reports, the crime occurred on Sunday, March 24. Police claim that the accused later hid the minor victim's body inside a factory.
The accused is said to have enticed the girl to accompany him. A nearby CCTV system caught the man taking the girl with him. The minor was then killed by the accused after she was sexually assaulted. According to an NDTV report, he later concealed the body in the factory.
According to reports, the girl's body has been found by the police. The body has now been moved to the mortuary of the hospital. Meanwhile, the local police have opened an investigation and filed a case under the applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused has reportedly been taken into custody by the police and is currently being questioned.
In a separate incident, a resident of Nabha was taken into custody by police on Tuesday after he attempted to rape his one-year-old daughter at his Sohana rental home.
The accused, who had committed the crime last week and was at large, was taken into custody from Patiala after his wife filed a complaint.
The woman claimed that when her husband attempted to rape their daughter, she was at a neighbour's house.
She ran back home after hearing her daughter's cries to discover her husband had been sexually abusing her. Her husband ran out of the area, scared he would be discovered.
Reports say that even though the accused has been booked by the police, they are still investigating the claims because the couple had a continuous marital argument.
