Delhi Rains: Rain accompanied by strong winds has been lashing Delhi-NCR region since early Friday morning, bringing back a sharp chill across the region. The sudden rain activity caused major inconvenience for office-goers, as waterlogged roads led to traffic congestion on several key routes in the capital and nearby areas including Noida and Gurugram.

After strong winds swept through Delhi on Thursday night, heavy rain lashed the capital on Friday morning, bringing a drop in temperature and offering partial relief from the city’s pollution levels.

Images of traffic chaos are emerging from several parts of Delhi. Vehicles were seen navigating through the downpour on NH-9 near Akshardham, as showers continued across the capital.

People present at Kartavya Path for the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day parade were caught in the rain and got drenched as showers lashed the area.

Meanwhile, Gurugram's Cyber City has been experiencing intermittent rain since morning, leaving the roads flooded.

Rain activity has been reported in various areas of Gurugram since this morning.Several roads across the city have been flooded due to the rain, making it difficult for people to reach their offices and causing widespread inconvenience for commuters.

Delhi Weather Forecast

- As per Delhi's forecast, a slight dip in the minimum temperature to a range of 6-8 degrees on Saturday and 5 to 7 degrees on Sunday.

- On Saturday, generally cloudy skies with winds at 20-30 kmph are expected amid shallow to moderate fog in the morning hours.

- On Sunday, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy with similar weather conditions as on Saturday.

- Delhi is expected to witness generally to partly cloudy skies with shallow to moderate fog in the morning hours till January 28. Meanwhile minimum temperature is expected to increase.
