Delhi Metro Update: Metro services will operate for longer hours on December 25 and December 31 to help passengers travelling late at night for Christmas and New Year celebrations. On both days, trains will run from 6:00 AM till 12:30 AM.

The final metro services on these two days will depart at 12:30 AM from Munshi Pulia and Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport stations, offering relief to late-night commuters.
Except for December 25 and December 31, metro services will continue as usual, operating daily from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM.
In separate news, the Union Cabinet has approved Phase-V A of the Delhi Metro Rail Project, marking another step towards expanding the capital’s public transport network. The project involves an investment of Rs 12,015 crore and will add 16 kilometres to the metro system. Construction is expected to be completed within three years.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared the update after a Cabinet meeting, stating that the work will be carried out by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation as part of the larger Phase-V expansion plan.
As per the approved proposal, 13 new stations will be built under Phase-V A. Ten of these stations will be underground, while three will be elevated. The new sections aim to improve connectivity, reduce pressure on roads and enhance access between residential areas, commercial centres and major transport points.
The expansion will cover three corridors. The longest stretch will run between Ramakrishna Ashram Marg and Indraprastha, spanning 9.9 km. The Aerocity to Airport Terminal-1 corridor will be 2.3 km long, while the Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj section will cover 3.9 km.
