Delhi Metro Update: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Saturday announced that metro services will begin early on Sunday, June 21, for the convenience of yoga enthusiasts on the occasion of International Day of Yoga.

A Look At Revised Timings

The DMRC has announced a revised schedule for Sunday, June 21, to facilitate commuters travelling on the occasion of International Day of Yoga. Here is the revised schedule:

- General Timing: Metro services will commence at 4:00 AM from all originating stations of each line.

- The first train from Kirti Nagar to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh will depart at 4:10 AM.

- The first train from Dwarka to Dhansa Bus Stand is scheduled to depart at 4:15 AM.

- Trains will run at an interval of 30 minutes until 6:00 AM.

- After 6:00 AM, trains will operate as per their regular Sunday timetable.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the DMRC said, "Begin Your Yoga Day Journey with a Timely Ride! Celebrate the International Day of Yoga with DMRC’s special early morning services for a smooth start to your day."

This move aims to benefit thousands of yoga enthusiasts by allowing them to easily access parks, yoga centres, and other event locations across the city early in the morning via the Metro. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has appealed to passengers to plan their travel accordingly and make Yoga Day a healthy, active day.
