Delhi-NCR Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its fresh advisory, has stated that several regions of Delhi are set to witness light to moderate rain on Wednesday. Along with rain, the residents of Delhi are also set to experience strong surface winds and lightning. The rainfall is expected to reduce the temperature by two to three degrees Celsius, providing much-needed relief from the scorching heat. The weather department has advised the residents to stay updated and limit their outings during rain.
In its advisory, the weather department stated that the sky in the national capital will remain partly cloudy on Wednesday. Along with this, there is also a possibility of rain accompanied by winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 38 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 27 degrees Celsius.
Rain Likely In Multiple Regions
The IMD stated that several regions of Delhi, including Jafarpur, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Palam, IGI Airport, Vasant Vihar, RK Puram, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Mehrauli, Tughlakabad, Chhatarpur, IGNOU, Aya Nagar, and Deramandi, are set to witness light to moderate rainfall. It stated that strong winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometers per hour is also expected in these regions.

The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences to the daily commuters. The nearby cities, including Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad, are also expected to witness similar weather conditions, the weather department informed.
Rain Alert For UP Districts
Apart from this, the IMD stated that several regions of western Uttar Pradesh, including Saharanpur, Gangoh, Deoband, Najibabad, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Hastinapur, Chandpur, Kithaur, Amroha, Moradabad, Garhmukteshwar, Rampur, Syana, Sambhal, Bilari, Chandausi, Bahjoi, and Bareilly, are also likely to witness heavy rainfall today.
