Delhi Depotsav: The Delhi Deepotsav will be held for the first time in the capital on the evening of November 13. This event is being held ahead of Dev Deepawali, Guru Parv, and the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. LG VK Saxena will attend this celebration arranged by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and perform the Yamuna aarti.
This event will take place at the renovated Vasudev Ghat near Kashmiri Gate ISBT. The Raj Niwas gave this information on Friday.
According to the Raj Niwas, around 3,50,000 diyas will be lit during this event, in which ordinary people, students, and artists from all fields will take part. Drone and laser shows will also be arranged for the event. In addition, a magnificent Ram Darbar will take place at the 'Baradari' at Vasudev Ghat.
Vasudev Ghat, which will be inaugurated by the LG in March 2024, is a symbol of his dedication to the rebirth of the Yamuna and its floodplains, with the goal of bringing city residents closer to the river and involving them in river cleanup.
Delhi Deepotsav will highlight the intersection of spirituality and environmental sustainability. Vasudev Ghat additionally underscores India's rich cultural legacy, which includes sculptures and antiques from several states.
A laser show will display Lord Ram's tableau, while a drone show will sprinkle flowers and garlands. This event will begin at 6 PM and continue until 7:30 or 8 PM. There will also be sufficient arrangements for distributing prasad at the end of the ceremony. However, due to security concerns and crowd management, public participation in Deepotsav will be via invitation cards.
