This post comes soon after his short meeting with senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on a runway in Mysuru on Tuesday, January 13. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has sought clarification from Gandhi regarding the "constant confusion" over a leadership power tussle in Karnataka, India Today TV reported.

Rahul Gandhi’s Karnataka Visit
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Karnataka on Tuesday, January 13, where he held discussions with Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar as well as CM Siddaramaiah. During the meeting, Gandhi held one-on-one conversations with both leaders for several minutes before meeting them together.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, a Congress leader stated that Siddaramaiah focused on preparations for the upcoming budget and the need for a Cabinet reshuffle, while Shivakumar is believed to have raised the issue about the government completing two-and-half years and the claimed promise of making him the Chief Minister.

When asked about a possible leadership change, Siddaramaiah said it was just a media speculation and denied any political discussion with Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday. "There's no such issue within the party," he said, adding that he would go by whatever the high command decided, the Deccan Herald report added.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday sought clarification from Gandhi regarding the "constant confusion" over a leadership power tussle in Karnataka, sources told India Today TV.
Dismissing reports of any political message from Gandhi, Shivakumar said, "I'm the (Karnataka) Congress president and he's (Rahul Gandhi) the Leader of Opposition. We cannot tell you everything we discuss. You are unnecessarily creating issues by speculating what was spoken. There was no message from him. He has told us to do good work. We informed him about the MNREGA issue and the plan to take it up," India Today quoted Shivakumar as saying.
