In a unique turn of events, the Gwalior police training facility was forced to expel dozens of recruits for allegedly making and distributing videos using AI technology that say that the trainees are being served low-quality food. The incident occurred at the Police Training School Tigra, where recruits from the Rajasthan Police were training. 

The complaint about poor-quality food quickly turned into a viral incident on social media and WhatsApp groups, as multiple videos and pictures of old and not hygienic meals helped to fuel outcry and led to complaints being directed to senior officials and an order from the police headquarters in Bhopal for an investigation.

During the process of investigating this, authorities found that many of these viral images and videos had been digitally fabricated and altered through Using AI Technology. Based on this investigation, Raja Babu Singh confirmed that there were 36 recruits who created and distributed the fraudulent content that they used to create an overall disturbance at the training centre and damage the reputation of the institution.

In describing this act, the police department referred to it as “nefarious, mischievous and grossly indisciplined behaviour.” The end consequence is that these recruits have been removed from the training programme and returned to Rajasthan.

The Director-General of Police has previously requested 1,005 Jammu and Kashmir Police Recruits to be taken from the Tigra Training Centre; 36 of those recruits who had allegedly participated in an unlawful assault on an unaccompanied group of recruits have been taken back to Rajasthan by Inspector Satveer Yadav on Thursday. 

All training remains on schedule. During the investigation, it was found that there were many complaints from recruits regarding food preparation, including that there were only two cooks and no chief/supervisor in the kitchen preparing large amounts of food for hundreds of recruits.

Some recruits requested that they be served Traditional Rajasthani food, "Gatte ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri and Bhatti ki Roti," but were being served the same types of chemically processed food by machine processes.

While logistical difficulties may exist, Officials stated that "Evidence created or shared via made-up Artificial Intelligence is damaged," for reasons of propriety on behalf of the Training Academy.
