Two people lost their lives after a car drowned due to waterlogging in the Old Railway Underpass late on Friday night. The deceased have been identified as Premshraay Sharma and Viraj. Both lived in Greater Faridabad and worked at HDFC Bank in Gurugram.
The incident took place while the duo were coming from their office in Gurugram to their home in Greater Faridabad. As a precaution, the police had stationed a rider nearby who was stopping the drivers from going inside.
Am XUV 700 came and moved fast towards the underpass. According to Faridabad Police, the car was forbidden to go inside but the occupants did not listen. As the car moved forward, water-filled inside the vehicle and it started sinking. Then the people nearby came and got down inside the water and reached there.
