Jagran Correspondent, Faridabad: The police investigation into the murder of a teacher at a private school in Sikrauna village of Haryana's Faridabad has revealed that it wasn't a result of a fit of rage but a carefully planned murder by the accused, Amit.
The investigators have found out that Amit had been planning her murder for the past two months. He had already purchased a knife and was waiting for Sandhya to be alone. On Monday, upon finding the opportunity, he entered the school and stabbed Sandhya 34 times in just 32 seconds.
The brutality of the attack can be gauged from the fact that the blade of the knife was bent from the continuous stabbing, but the accused did not stop.
The police said that Amit, a resident of Kot village, left home on Monday morning for delivering milk. Determined to return only after killing Sandhya, he arrived at the school on his motorcycle.
He entered the campus with his face covered and introduced himself to the female security guard as Sandhya's husband, Vicky. The guard let him in and informed Sandhya that her husband had come to visit.
Sandhya was teaching children in the classroom at the time. As soon as she came out, Amit attacked her with a knife.
Monitored Sandhya's activities
The investigation also revealed that Amit had purchased the knife from a local artisan about two months ago. He had been constantly monitoring Sandhya's activities. Sandhya's husband, Vicky, used to drop her off and pick her up from school every day. This prevented him from finding an opportunity to commit the crime.
On Monday, he executed his pre-planned plan as soon as he found the opportunity. According to the police, Sandhya came into contact with Amit when she was teaching at a school in Sirohi.
Sandhya left Amit and started living with Vicky
The investigation also revealed that the two had gone out once, and Sandhya returned a few days later. Sandhya then began living with her husband, Vicky, and their children. Police say that even after this, Amit continued to pressure her to leave her husband and live with him.
Sandhya's family alleged that she had severed all ties with Amit and made it clear that she did not want to have any relationship with him. Despite this, the accused continued to contact and pressure her. He even threatened to kill Sandhya's husband. Distressed by the constant threats, Sandhya even gave up using a mobile phone and lived in fear with her family.
Post-mortem team stunned by crime
The post-mortem examination revealed the severity of the attack. According to the doctors, Sandhya's body was so badly damaged that it took nearly half an hour to count the stabbings. A preliminary examination revealed 34 stab wounds, most of which were on the chest, abdomen, and throat.
A detailed post-mortem report is being prepared, which will scientifically analyse each injury and the cause of death. ACP Crime Aman Yadav said the accused is being interrogated. All aspects of the murder conspiracy, including the purchase of the knife, the recce, and the preparations for the crime are being investigated.
