A saddening video has broken the internet after a teen shared a picture of his shattered laptop, which his father broke after he scored low marks for the 12th examination. Sharing the post on Reddit, the teen claimed that he scored 57.4 per cent, "Essential Repeat", he said.
The heartbreaking caption wrote, "And if that wasn't enough, he took away my room and bed from me, and makes me sleep on floor now. I am facing verbal, physical, mental and emotional abuse since the results are out."
Netizens reacted to the post and highlighted how toxic parenting destroys a child's mental and physical health. A user commented, "I failed in maths... Even my Dad was being supportive surprisingly... Life is unfair in many ways." Another reported a similar situation in his house. The netizen wrote, "Same with me but my father didn't say anything he was not being very supportive but not abusive or any kind of thing also".
A third was empathetic towards the post. He said, "stay safe please, i dont know whats wrong with indian parents- ive been on this sub reddit for an hour reading all the horrendous acts the parents have done. I am truly sorry you had to go through this, You deserve so much more better."
A fourth said, "Bhai please don't let your inner self get damaged by this.. know that everything passes eventually.. so just hold onto yourself. Get grinding and leave that house. If you want you can talk to ppl here."
The Central Board of Secondary Education released the CBSE Class 12 results on May 13. A total of 17,80,365 students registered for the CBSE Class 12 examinations this year. Among them, 17,68,968 appeared and 15,07,109 students passed.

Driven by intense academic pressure, fear of failure, and family expectations, student suicides are rising faster than the national average. Over 1,000 cases in 2024 were attributed directly to exam failure among minors.
