The officials stated that the water level of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers has significantly increased, adding that the residential areas are witnessing waterlogging.

The weather department stated that several parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rain in the upcoming hours. It further advised the residents and tourists to follow the guidelines and limit their outings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday will visit the flood affected northern states to monitor the current situation.

The district administration stated that the water level of Sutlej river has significantly increased, adding that Ludhiana is likely to witness flood-like situation.

The officials stated that water level of Ramganga River has increased significantly, adding that the residential areas are set to be affected.

The floodwater from several areas of Delhi-NCR, including Civil Lines area is gradually receding. However, the weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences. 

The officials stated that Yamuna continued to flow over the danger mark in the early hours of Saturday, adding that the water is receding from the residential areas.
