The Ganga Expressway will bring development projects to neglected and backward areas like the Ganga's Khadar and Bangar rivers. Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority has developed a plan to develop the areas on both sides of the Ganga Expressway along the lines of an industrial city like Noida. To achieve this, residential and commercial zones will be created alongside industrial areas, jagran.com reported.

High-rise residential developments are underway on both sides of the Ganga Expressway. This will reduce traffic congestion on the Noida-Ghaziabad and Delhi-Lucknow highways. To make the Ganga Expressway even more useful, it will be linked to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Etawah, the Jewar Airport in Noida, and the high-speed rail corridor in Meerut.

Business, Tourism To Benefit

This is expected to benefit industrial and residential projects, as well as the business and tourism sectors. A plan is underway to route most of the industrial vehicles via the Ganga Expressway, thus reducing the pressure on other roadways.

The Ganga Expressway will not only be a means of vehicular transportation, it will also prove to be the backbone of the state's economy and development. The expressway is being built in three parts. The first two phases will cover the stretch from Prayagraj to Meerut. The next phase will cover the stretch from Meerut to Haridwar.

An industrial corridor is to be constructed along both sides of the Ganga Expressway. Land acquisition for this purpose is progressing rapidly. Work is underway to establish industries along both sides of the expressway from Meerut to Hardoi. Under this initiative, the Ganga's khadar region will be divided into sectors, similar to Noida.

Land Being Acquired

Land is being acquired for the industrial corridor in Mangraula, Rustampur Khadar, and Daulatpur areas near the Ganga Expressway T-point in Hasanpur, and from Simbhaoli and Sadarpur to Pushpavati in Hapur. Along with this, a decision has also been made to develop residential sectors.

Multi-story towers and shopping malls are planned along the Ganga Expressway. This will create new housing options for those looking for homes in the Noida-Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Moradabad areas, with the area around the Ganga Expressway becoming a new destination.

The high-speed rail and expressway connectivity is expected to boost business, tourism, and development. Meanwhile, plans are underway to construct the Ganga Expressway Link Expressway to connect Meerut and Hastinapur with the Noida International Airport in Jewar.
