A thief attempting to break into a clinic under Indirapuram police station limits in Ghaziabad got trapped between the building’s shutter and wall during the attempted theft. The fire brigade team, who reached the spot after being alerted, carried out a rescue operation lasting around 20 minutes. Following the rescue, he was taken into custody and handed over to the police, jagran.com reported.

Delhi-based cardiologist Dr Pawan Sharma runs a clinic in Indirapuram’s Abhay Khand which he visits only two to three days a week. He was scheduled to visit the clinic on Saturday. When staff arrived around 11 am and tried to open the shutter, they found it jammed and unable to open. The staff immediately informed the doctor and the police about the situation.

Thief's Head Stuck Between Shutter And Wall

Everyone was stunned to find the thief hanging inside. His head was stuck between the shutter and the wall. Police tried to pull the shutter, but it would not open. The fire department was informed of the incident. Firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued him within 20 minutes.

15-Year-Old Thief Injured, Hospitalised

Indirapuram ACP Abhishek Srivastava said the thief was a minor, around 15 years old. His face was bruised after being caught between a shutter and a wall. He has been admitted to the government hospital in Sanjay Nagar. His criminal history is being investigated.

The thief was in a terrible condition after being hanged for several hours. After bringing him down, the firefighters and clinic staff first gave him tea and then handed him over to the police
