Travel between Greater Noida and Faridabad is set to get a major boost as work on the long-pending Manjhawali bridge approach road has reportedly gained pace. Currently, there is no direct link between Greater Noida and Faridabad, forcing commuters to take longer routes via Delhi, Noida, Kalindi Kunj, or the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. These routes are often congested with traffic, especially during peak hours, leading to long delays and increased fuel consumption.
According to a report by Times Property, the Manjhawali bridge approach road will cut travel time between the two NCR cities to just 30 minutes, benefitting office commuters, transport operators, and local residents.

Direct Route Over Yamuna To Cut Travel Time Between Noida And Faridabad
The upcoming four-lane road is set to provide a straight connection through the Manjhawali bridge over the Yamuna River, significantly reducing distance and travel time.
The road will provide seamless connectivity between Greater Noida and Faridabad, enabling emergency services to reach destinations faster and reducing transport costs for businesses operating across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
Manjhawali Bridge Approach Road: Check Project Cost, Other Details
- A four-lane approach road will be constructed from the Greater Noida side to the Manjhawali Bridge. The bridge on the Haryana side has already been completed. The missing approach road from the Uttar Pradesh side has been the main cause of repeated delays, the Times Property report added.

- The construction of the four-lane approach road is estimated to cost Rs 66 crore. Officials said the work could be completed within a year if work proceeds without interruptions.
- Construction work involves building a new stretch of road, upgrading existing sections, and installing proper drainage and safety systems.
- Land acquisition has been a major hurdle. About 70 per cent of the required land has already been acquired, while the remaining portion is still under farming use.
- Discussions with farmers over compensation are ongoing. Once the land acquisition issues are resolved, construction is expected to accelerate.
Once completed, the new four-lane road will enhance east-west connectivity across the NCR, providing enhanced access to residential and industrial areas in both Greater Noida and Faridabad.
