Gujarat BJP Leader Deepak Modi Crushed To Death After Jumping In Front Of Moving Train In Visnagar

Visnagar BJP Leader Deepak Modi Suicide: Deepak Modi, a BJP councilor representing Ward No. 1 of the Visnagar Municipality, allegedly died by suicide by jumping in front of a train during early hours on Monday. His body was severed in two following the collision, Jagran Gujarati reported.

According to preliminary information, 54-year-old Deepak Modi, a resident of Ganeshnagar Society in the Kansa NA area, jumped in front of the Varetha-Gandhinagar passenger train. This tragic incident took place near a drain close to the cremation ground, on the road leading from Patni Darwaza to Motel Hotel.

Who Was Deepak Modi?

Deepak Modi was known as an active and prominent BJP leader in the Visnagar Municipality.

Ward-1 Councilor: He was elected unopposed from Ward No. 1 in the recent Visnagar Municipality elections, a testament to his popularity.

Party Leader: Given his organizational strength and loyalty, he had also been entrusted with the key responsibility of serving as the BJP party leader within the municipality.

RSS Member: Deepakbhai was a philanthropic individual and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Deepak Modi is survived by his wife, a daughter, and two sons. His wife has also previously served as a Panchayat member in Kansa NA.

BJP Leaders, Workers Gather

As news of the incident spread, a large number of local residents and acquaintances rushed to the scene. The police immediately arrived at the scene, conducted an inquest, and sent the body to Visnagar Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Upon learning of the deathhe Visnagar city BJP president, the district BJP president, councilors, and a large number of office-bearers and party workers rushed to the hospital and the scene to express their condolences. The exact reason behind the suicide is not yet known. The police are investigating the matter further.
