As an incessant monsoon grips Gujarat, poorly maintained roadways and waterlogged passages have once again caught the attention of the commuters. The video shared on X invited massive criticism from the netizens.
A video from Junagarh has sparked widespread anger among the public after a video showing a couple riding a motorcycle went viral. The clip showed the vehicle moving forward on the inundated road.
The biker suddenly struck a pothole that was concealed beneath rainwater. Once the front tire hits the pothole, it gets sunk in it, leading to a loss of balance. The impact immediately sent both of them to fall on their faces on the road.
The Two Suffered Major Injuries
While the woman collapsed on the man’s back, he suffered serious injuries as his head hit the road. The motorcyclist was seen unable to stand, with the woman struggling to hold him. Soon, bystanders rushed to help the duo. It was later reported that the man sustained serious injuries due to the fall and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
The more disappointing part was that a 112 patrol car, operated by the police, was seen passing through the scene of the incident without stopping to help the injured.

The video soon went viral as netizens began raising questions about the quality of road repairs and maintenance in the city and about preparedness for the monsoon. Some also called out the patrolling officers for passing the accident site without stopping to help. A user said, “Notice how the police patrolling vehicle didn’t bother to help or even stop. Just saw what was happening, observed that there is no visible reason/excuse to extort anything from any party here, and quietly left the scene. Utterly professional behavior!"

While a second user said, “An emergency vehicle drives past someone in imminent need of emergency help. What clownery is this? We’re doomed," quipped another person.
Someone else remarked, “Every part of Final Destination can be filmed here in India without any equipment and VFX."
"What will the municipality or government officials do the whole summer, where they take taxpayers' money as salary and never do the work they are supposed to do? Where is accountability? Who will take responsibility? An individual must sue the municipality and govt," an individual said.
