A couple was beaten up with liquor bottles and fists by a group of unidentified men in Gurugram on the eve of Holi celebration on Monday. The incident took place on Basai Road, where the group of men assaulted the couple before fleeing the scene. The motive behind the assault remains unclear so far.
The assailants, who were in a black Scorpio, attacked the man on a busy road and when his partner tried to intervene, she was also assaulted by the accused which later caused traffic congestion and chaos.
Eyewitness accounts and video evidence confirm the brutal nature of the attack. The footage captures the men beating the couple in the middle of the road with the empty liquor bottles.
The incident comes after a similar case earlier in March, where a woman and her husband were attacked at a local club by four men in Gurugram. An FIR was filed and investigations are ongoing to apprehend the assailants.
