Gurugram Tragedy: In a shocking incident, an AI engineer in Haryana's Gurugram allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death inside his PG accommodation and was later found dead on railway tracks, police said on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Shreshth Malik, 25, a resident of Bhilai in Chhattisgarh, and his friend Ishara Ayubi, 25, from Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur. The couple worked at the same private company in the city.

The incident caught attention after Ayubi's family were unable to contact her, prompting them to approach the cops. Consequently, the family reached the Sector 56 police station on Saturday.

How Did Police Discover the Murder?

The Sector 56 police then tracked her phone location and reached Malik's PG in Sector 55. Upon arrival, the cops found the room locked. Upon breaking the lock, the police discovered Ayubi's body.

Hours later, the police found that the Government Railway Police (GRP) had recovered an unidentified body from the railway tracks near Garhi railway station. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the body was of Malik. It was severed into two after crushing under the train.

Investigations Underway

Upon investigation, the Sector 56 police found that Ayubi moved into the man's PG just three days before the incident. SHO Inspector Manoj Kumar said that the police are investigating all the angles connected to the case. "The nature of the relationship between the two individuals and the reasons behind the incident would only be revealed once the probe is over."
