The crime, which took place in December last year, came to light when the victim's body was recovered on Monday, following an extensive police investigation.

The victim, Jagdeep, was a yoga teacher living as a tenant in the house of Hardeep. After learning about the affair, Hardeep allegedly plotted with friends to kill Jagdeep. He arranged for a 7-foot deep pit to be dug in Pantavas village, claiming it was for a borewel

On December 24, after Jagdeep returned home from work, Hardeep and his accomplices kidnapped him. They tied his hands and feet and brutally assaulted him before taking him to the pit in Charkhi Dadri. Once at the site, they taped his mouth shut to muffle his cries and buried him alive.

The case began when a missing person report was filed at the Shivaji Colony Police Station on January 3, ten days after Jagdeep was murdered. For weeks, investigators found no leads until they examined Jagdeep's call records, which led them to Hardeep and his friend Dharampal.
