India Pakistan News Live Updates: Red Streaks Seen, Explosions Heard In Samba After PM Modi's Staunch Warning To Pak

The Army sources, cited by ANI, said a very small number of drones have come in the Samba sector, which were being engaged. 

Red streaks were seen and explosions heard as India's air defence intercepts Pakistani drones amid a blackout in Samba.

The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India held the first round of talks on Monday.
Defence sources confirmed that DGMO Maj Gen Kashif Abdullah and his Indian counterpart Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai spoke to each other over a hotline. 

The DGMOs of India and Pakistan are currently holding discussions after a ceasefire agreement was met on Saturday

The Indian Armed Forces on Monday shared visuals of the debris of a likely PL-15 air-to-air missile, which was used by Pakistan during the attack on India. This missile, deployed by the Pakistan Army, is of Chinese origin. The wreckage of the Turkish-origin YIHA and Songar drones, which were shot down by India, was also displayed during the press conference held by senior officers of the tri-services.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address nation at 8 PM. He is likely to speak on Operation Sindoor and latest updates amid escalated tension with Pakistan.

While briefing on India's military action, Indian Military showed the debris of destroyed Pakistani Mirage. 

"26 people lost their lives, were those 4 or 5 terrorists caught? If they were not caught, then how can you say that Operation Sindoor was successful? Who is responsible for the lapse? People went to Kashmir on your (government's) assurance that everything is normal. People went there with their families and lost their loved ones," stated Baghel in a press brief. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, FM Jaishankar, NSA Doval and service chiefs.

Director General Military Operations of All Three Services- Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force will brief media about the ongoing situation today at 2.30 pm, reported ANI. 

After the ceasefire understanding, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan are likely to hold a meeting over the ongoing tension between the two nations.

The Indian Army on Monday stated that the night remained largely peaceful in Jammu and Kashmir and other states along the international border. It added that no incident was reported, marking the first calm night in recent days. 

Amid escalated tensions with Pakistan, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian Armed Forces (IAF) are giving a befitting response to Pakistan.

The Indian armed forces announced that all its pilots are “back home safe” after the air strikes in Pakistani air bases and other key targets.

After four consecutive nights of intense drone and missile attacks from across the border, forward areas in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Rajasthan finally witnessed a night of calm. No drone activity was detected or intercepted by Indian Air Defence Systems on May 11 or in the early hours that followed. Reacting to the recent confrontation between India and Pakistan, Vice Admiral AN Pramod said the Indian Navy was deployed in the Arabian Sea at full combat readiness. He said Navy's carrier battle groups, surface forces, submarines and aviation assets were deployed at sea to retaliate against Pakistan’s misadventure.

Pakistan realised India was indeed serious and sought cessation of hostilities after the latter destroyed eight of its air bases in a massive counteroffensive, PTI reported citing government sources. Violations will have "consequences" as Operation Sindoor remains ongoing, sources said in a stern warning to the neighbouring country, a day after India and Pakistan agreed to the cessation of hostilities.

India has called Pakistan's nuclear bluff with Operation Sindoor and sent a psychological message to state-sponsored terrorists: nobody is untouchable and no place in Pakistan is safe for you, government sources said on Sunday.

A blackout was imposed in Jaisalmer, Barmer and other border areas in Rajasthan on Sunday night as a precautionary measure in the wake of probable drone activity in the area, PTI reported.
