Naidunia Representative, Indore | More than 40 people were attacked by a dog at the Aurobindo Hospital complex and surrounding areas, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Following the outrage over the dog menace, concerned municipal officials took action to capture the dog.

Aggressive Dog That Bit 40 Yet To Be Identified

Residents had been complaining for a long time, but their complaints were not heard. On Saturday, 25 dogs were captured from the area and taken to the dog shelter located at the training ground. Of these, 12 were captured from the hospital campus. However, the dog that bit more than 40 people has not been identified.

It is possible that the aggressive cannel may still be active in the area and could attack people. Those seriously injured by the dog are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to officials, the municipal corporation plans to build three large dog shelters in the city, each with a capacity of 1,000. For this purpose, the corporation submitted three proposals worth Rs 30 lakh each to the Animal Welfare Board of India. Drawings and designs have also been submitted for approval. Construction work can begin after receiving approval from them.

Panic In The Surrounding Villages

The dog began biting at Aurobindo Hospital. After being chased away, it attacked several people in Revati Range, Bardari Village, LNCT College, Renaissance College, Narasimha Munji College, and surrounding rural areas. Following the incident, an atmosphere of panic has gripped these areas. People are avoiding going out, and if they have to go anywhere, they are not going alone.

Parents are not sending their children out of the house. Residents reported that the Municipal Corporation has not yet caught the attacking dog. They demand its capture soon. Until the dog is caught, fear will persist.

The terror of dogs troubles pedestrians as well as two-wheeler riders. Dogs also chase two-wheelers, often frightening drivers into falling and injuring themselves. Their terror increased at night, when the number of vehicles on the roads is reduced.

In many areas, people reported that they are afraid to even leave their homes at night.
