In a tragic incident in Jammu and Kashmir, 10 security personnel reportedly died and others got severely injured after an Army bus vehicle met with an accident in the Khani Top region of Doda district. Army, along with the local administration teams, rushed to the spot and launched rescue efforts despite the geographical challenges. The officials, while providing details, stated that the bullet-proof vehicle was carrying a total of 17 personnel to the higher regions when it fell into the gorge. They further stated that nine personnel have been rescued in an injured condition and three of them have been airlifted to Udhampur for specialised medical treatment.
The officials asserted that the vehicle plunged into the gorge after the driver lost control, reported PTI. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), informed that 10 soldiers died in the tragic incident, further expressing his condolences.
“Deeply saddened at the loss of lives of 10 of our brave Indian Army soldiers in an unfortunate road accident in Doda. We will always remember the outstanding service and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers. My deepest condolences to the grieving families,” Sinha stated in his post.
“In this moment of profound sorrow, the entire nation stands united with the bereaved families in solidarity and support. 10 Injured soldiers have been airlifted to the hospital. Directed the Senior officials to ensure best possible treatment. Praying for their speedy recovery,” he added. Apart from this, Union Minister Jitendra Singh informed that the injured personnel have been shifted to Command Hospital in Udhampur.
"Just now spoke to DC Doda, Sh Harvinder Singh. Deeply shocked to learn about the tragic accident of an Army vehicle on Bhaderwah - Chamba road, in which 10 Jawans lost their life and another 10 seriously injured, who have been shifted to Command Hospital Udhampur," Singh informed in his post.

"Also spoken to Major General (Dr) Sanjay Sharma, Incharge Command Hospital, who is providing me regular updates. All possible medical aid being provided. No words are enough to convey deep sense of reverence for our brave Jawans. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families," he added.
