Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to moderate rain till January 14. The weather department stated that the northern districts are set to experience a cold wave for the next few days. Along with the cold wave, these regions are also set to witness fog and a drop in temperature in the upcoming days. The continuous rainfall in the coastal regions is likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower areas. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
The weather department, while providing details, stated that several districts, including Tumakuru, Chikkaballapura, Kolar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, and Kodagu, are set to witness light to moderate rain till January 14. It further stated that these districts are set to witness a sharp drop in temperature in the next two days due to the continuous rainfall.
The IMD also stated that the residents of the capital city, Bengaluru, are set to witness cloudy skies and occasional light rain for the next two days. The residents are also likely to experience a cold wave and fog in the upcoming days; however, the temperature is likely to surge after January 15. While the maximum temperature of the tech city is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 15 degrees Celsius.

The weather department stated that the northern districts, including Belagavi, Bagalkote, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Raichur, Yadgir, and Ballari, are expected to witness a cold wave for the next few days. Apart from this, these regions are also set to experience dense fog, especially in the early hours, leading to inconveniences for the daily commuters.
