Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next two days. The weather department stated that the continuous rainfall will lead to a drop in temperature and waterlogging in the lower regions. The other parts of the state will continue to witness cold waves and fog in the early hours for the next few days. The capital city Bengaluru is also likely to receive light rain till Wednesday; however, the temperature is set to increase from the first week of February. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences.

Rain Likely In THESE Districts

The weather department has stated that rainfall is likely in several districts, including Mysuru, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, and Chamarajanagar, for the next two to three days. The continuous rainfall is likely to cause waterlogging in these regions, leading to inconveniences for the daily commuters. Apart from this, the coastal districts of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada are also likely to witness rain.

Cold Wave In THESE Regions

The other parts of Karnataka, including Belagavi, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Haveri, Gadag, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Ballari, Raichur, Yadgir, and Vijayanagar, are set to witness a cold wave for the next few days. Apart from this, the southern interior districts, including Kolar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara, Mandya, Chitradurga, Davangere, and Vijayanagar, are also set to witness dry weather conditions.

Bengaluru Weather

The residents of Bengaluru are likely to witness cloudy skies and gentle breezes at least till January 28. While there is no rain alert for the tech city, the residents must be prepared for occasional rain. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 29 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is set to remain around 20 degrees Celsius.
