Ketan Agarwal Murder: A fresh twist has emerged in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, with Siya Goyal's lawyer on Tuesday dismissing reports that she secretly married Chetan Chaudhary months after getting engaged to Ketan Agarwal.

Siya's advocate, Vipul Dushing, said, “The news regarding the marriage of Siya and Chetan has been published in many newspapers and in articles. There is no substance to this entire thing."

His statement comes after investigators began probing claims that Siya Goyal secretly married her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, months after her engagement to Ketan Agarwal. Reports had claimed that Goyal and Chaudhary tied the knot four months ago without informing their families, News18 reported.

According to an NDTV report, two of Siya Goyal's college friends allegedly acted as witnesses at the wedding and signed the marriage documents at the registrar's office.

The report also claimed that a photograph showing Siya and Chetan wearing wedding garlands was posted on a private Instagram account linked to Siya before it was later deleted. Investigators are reportedly trying to recover the image.

The murder case dates back to June 18, when Ketan Agarwal was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort by his fiancée, 22-year-old Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, after multiple failed attempts to kill him. Agarwal and Goyal were scheduled to marry in November this year.

Investigators have alleged that the murder was not impulsive but the result of weeks of planning, including multiple failed attempts and a rehearsal conducted days before the crime.

Meanwhile, investigators also recovered a Snapchat message allegedly sent by Siya Goyal in which she told a friend that her marriage to realtor Ketan Agarwal was not going to happen. The message was purportedly sent in May, weeks before Agarwal's alleged murder, a police official said on Saturday.

According to investigators, Goyal asked her friend to share a copy of her Aadhaar card to book tickets for the wedding in Udaipur, scheduled for November, while simultaneously saying that the marriage would not take place.

“Send your Aadhaar card front and back side photo for tickets for the wedding, which is anyway not going to take place, but still do send it," the message read.

Police are continuing to investigate the case. On July 3, a Maharashtra court remanded Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary to 14-day judicial custody.
