MVA Seat-Sharing: Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies Congress, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), and Shiv Sena (UBT) have reached an agreement on seat-sharing in Maharashtra for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the coalition's leaders informed on Tuesday. Notably, the three parties are also part of the national-level anti-BJP INDIA bloc.
The seat-sharing formula will be announced on Wednesday, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole said. "We have agreement on most constituencies. Tomorrow will be the final meeting and the deal will be sealed and announced by senior leaders of the MVA," he was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

The senior Congress leader also asserted that people have faith in the MVA as the BJP-ruled Centre and the Mahayuti government of Maharashtra have failed to address the issues of unemployment and inflation. The Mahayuti ruling coalition of Maharashtra comprises the BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar).
The upcoming meeting on seat-sharing within the MVA will also feature a discussion on the proposal that had been sought from Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) leader Prakash Ambedkar by the MVA, said Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut. The discussion will take place in Prakash Ambedkar's presence, Raut added.
The Rajya Sabha MP also exuded confidence about MVA's victory in all Lok Sabha constituencies across Maharashtra. "We will contest elections to win all 48 seats," Raut stated.
