In a frightening incident, a 15-year-old girl was gang raped at gunpoint in front of her parents by three men in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district, police said on Wednesday.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rishikesh Meena, the incident took place in the Bhanwarpur area on Monday night but the complaint was registered two days later. Meanwhile, one suspect has been detained. The girl’s family had moved into the locality only a month ago. Further probe into the matter is on.
In another incident which took place recently, a 14-year-old boy was forced to perform 'unnatural sex' by three of his friends in South Delhi's Hauz Khas area. The accused, aged between 12 and 14, also made the victim lick their shoes and recorded the act.
The incident came to light after one of the three accused sent the video to the mother of the boy, following which she approached the local police. The video, which was also shared on Instagram, showed the victim being made to crouch at knife-point while the juveniles forced him to lick their shoes before forcing him to perform an 'unnatural act'.
In another incident which took place in Mumbai, a 21-year-old woman alleged that she was drugged and raped by a man whom she had met through the popular social media application Instagram, Mumbai Police said. Sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been invoked against the accused, the police said.
