Greater Noida Suicide: An MBA student died by suicide by jumping from the balcony of her 13th floor flat in the Gaur Saundaryam Society in Greater Noida West on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Shivika Thakral (25). Bisrakh police station police arrived at the scene and are investigating the case after conducting a post-mortem, jagran.com reported.
According to police, Vinay Thakral lives with his family in Sharon Towers of Gaur Saundaryam Society. His daughter, Shivika Thakral, was pursuing an MBA in Mohali and was also working alongside her studies. She had come home to celebrate Holi with her family.
On Monday night, the family had dinner together and later went to sleep in their respective rooms. On Tuesday morning, the guards informed the family that Shivika had allegedly died by suicide. As news of the incident spread, panic gripped the society and a large number of residents gathered at the spot.
The police took the body into custody and filed a Panchnama (record of observations). Following this, the body was sent for post-mortem. The police did not find any suicide note at the scene.
According to the police, preliminary investigation suggests it was a case of suicide. The police said the motive for the suicide is currently unknown. Further legal action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and investigation. Kotwali in-charge Krishna Gopal Sharma said the family has not filed any complaint in the matter.
