A man allegedly assaulted his wife, humiliated her, and held her hostage for hours inside their house. When the wife managed to escape to her parental home, he caught and stabbed her.

How Did The Matter Escalate?

The accused, identified as Arbaaz Syed (25), is a history sheeter and confined his wife at home after an altercation. Syed threatened to kill her with a sword and had warned her of throwing acid on her face. The accused also forced the woman to stay in a rooster position for almost four hours.

When the frightened woman managed to escape the confinement, she went to her parental home to save herself. However, the accused traced her there as well. Syed created a scene and then, in a fit of rage, stabbed her with a knife.

Following the violent attack, the victim's family informed the police. A police team immediately reached the spot and detained Arbaaz Syed.

During the inquiry, police found that Arbaaz is a history-sheeter with 19 serious criminal cases registered against him at various police stations. Based on the complaint filed by the injured wife, the police have registered a case against the accused under several serious sections. The process to send him to jail has been initiated. Investigations are underway.

Separate Incidents

A few days ago, a wife accused a man of assaulting her after she asked to make an online payment for a crate of mango. According to police, the woman had ordered a crate of mangoes from a vendor outside their housing society. She then sent the QR code payment link to her husband and asked him to make the payment.

The mastermind behind the entire operation was revealed to be the victim's husband, Nikesh Patel, who allegedly chose to trade his wife's freedom and dignity for a mere fifty thousand rupees because he simply did not like her.
