Jagran Correspondent, Noida: The authorities are reportedly planning to connect 'New Noida', being developed over 209.11 sq km as Dadri Noida Ghaziabad Special Investment Region (DNGIR), with the Noida International Airport at Jewar. As per the reports, the Noida Authority is soon likely to write a letter to the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to build a link road. The project is expected to benefit residents of 80 villages, proposed under 'New Noida'.

While providing details, OSD Kranti Shekhar Singh stated that land acquisition for 20 villages in Greater Noida and 60 villages in Bulandshahr has begun to develop the new city. He further stated that compensation rates have been set based on the Yamuna Development Authority. Singh further stated that the compensation rate has been set at Rs 4,300 per square meter.

The city will be directly connected to Delhi and other nearby cities, including Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida. The officials stated that the DNGIR will be spread over 20,911 hectares, adding that the project will be completed in four phases. They further stated that the work on the first phase is expected to begin soon, as the authority has decided to develop 3,165 hectares by the end of 2027.

While the second phase will be developed between 2027 and 2032, 5908 hectares will be developed under the third phase, which will be established till 2037. The officials further stated that the fourth and final phase will be established by the end of 2041.

Singh stated that the new city can be developed as a new industrial corridor by connecting it to the Ganga and Yamuna Expressways via a loop. He further stated that nearly 20 km of the Link Expressway will fall within the DNGIR area, adding that the expressway is a fully elevated road.
