Rajasthan-Gujarat Vande Bharat Schedule: In a significant move to strengthen rail connectivity, the Ministry of Railways has approved a new Vande Bharat Express train connecting Rajasthan and Gujarat. The service, operated and maintained by North Western Railway (NWR), will run between Udaipur and Asarwa (Ahmedabad), offering a convenient and faster travel option between the two cities.

Announcing the new service, the North Western Railway said, "For the convenience of passengers, the Railway Board has approved the Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat train."

Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express: Check Details

- Frequency: The Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express train is scheduled to run six days a week, except Tuesdays, The Indian Express reported.

- Udaipur-Asarwa Vande Bharat: Train No 26963 Udaipur-Asarwa Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to depart Udaipur City at 6:10 AM and reach Asarwa at 10:25 AM.

- Asarwa-Udaipur Vande Bharat: The return leg, Train No 26964 Asarwa-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express will leave Asarwa at 5:45 PM, arriving in Udaipur City at 10:00 PM.

- Stoppages: The Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express will halt at key stations along the route, including Zawar, Dungarpur, and Himmatnagar stations.

- Speed: The semi-high-speed train is designed to run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph.

Railways To Discontinue Two Existing Services

With the launch of the Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express train, the Ministry of Railways has decided to discontinue two existing Vande Bharat services from this week. The Udaipur City-Agra Cantt and Udaipur City-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express trains will be discontinued as part of a route rationalisation plan.

In a statement cited by The Indian Express, the NWR said, "Train No. 20981/82 (Udaipur City–Agra Cantt–Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will not be operated from February 15, 2026, while Train No. 20979/80 (Udaipur City–Jaipur–Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will not run from February 14, 2026."
