Bengaluru News: BharatAgri founder and CEO Siddharth Dialani has claimed that he decided to repair a footpath near his housing society in Bengaluru upon allegedly being ignored by the concerned authorities. In a post on social media, Dialani stated that he spent Rs 2,700 to repair the footpath, adding that he acted after no concrete actions were taken despite multiple reminders.
'Got No Response From Authorities'
In his post on X, the entrepreneur stated that he raised the issue with several authorities, including BBMP and GBA. However, he decided to repair the broken structure upon not receiving any concrete response from these authorities, Dialani added. "The footpath near my society at Koramangala has been broken since years! I complained to BBMP, sent email to GBA, raised ticket and chatted with their WA helpline but got no response," he wrote in the post.
"Finally, decided to fix it myself. It costed me Rs 2700 including labor charges and the cement to build a ramp. Parents with stroller and senior citizens on wheelchair can use it conveniently now," the entrepreneur added. His gesture received a mixed reaction from the netizens as while many appreciated him for the social work, the others suggested to leave these works for the authorities.
"Siddharth, you have given a great example of what can be achieved If we the people also contribute a little bit of our time and money to improve the community around us. This is very common in western countries. It's called voluntary community service," one of the social media users wrote.

However, the other users pointed out that the authorities should have been pressured to repair the structure, adding that this act could set a wrong example. "It's govt job and don’t try to be too good. They message of citizen will take care and start building things is much dangerous. Better to outrage and keep them on toes and make their life tough and make sure they are no where to hide," one user argued.
Earlier on Tuesday, several parts of Bengaluru witnessed waterlogging due to the heavy rainfall, causing inconveniences to the commuters.
