Bengaluru Power Cut On September 18: Amid the ongoing maintenance works in Bengaluru, several regions of the capital city of Karnataka are likely to witness power outage on Friday, reported News18, citing local reports. Earlier, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) announced a 9-hour shutdown in over 50 areas on Thursday. The reports suggest that the several regions will continue to experience outage even on Friday, leading to inconveniences.

Outage Likely In Several Regions

The power supply will remain disrupted in multiple regions of Yelahanka between 9 am and 6 pm on Friday due to the maintenance works at 66/11kV Yelahanka substation, reported News18. The residents have been advised to follow the schedule and make the necessary arrangements beforehand to avoid any inconveniences.

The reports suggest that several regions are likely to witness power outage, including Yelahanka New Town, Allalasandra, Kogilu, Bagalur Cross, Kattigenahalli, Purvaankara RMZ Galleria, Defence Layout, HMT Layout, Attur, Doddabettahalli, Chikkabettahalli, MS Palya, Sai Nagar, Havyakanagar and surrounding areas.

Residents Advised To Stay Updated

However, the residents have been advised to check BESCOM's update before taking any decision. Earlier, the authority stated that the maintenance works are being carried out to boost the power infrastructure of the tech city.

The power supply remained disrupted in multiple regions of Bengaluru today, including Astrajanika, PADMS College, KMF, Yalahanka New Town 208, 407, 'B' Sector, CB Sandra, Allalasandra, Sharadnagar, Popular, Anria, Marutinagar, Kogilu, BB Road Yalahanka, Bagaluru Cross, Venkatal, Nitte College, BSF, IAF, Rayan International School, Kattigenahalli, Palanahalli, Dwarka Nagar, Puravankara, RMZ Galleria AMS Layout, Defense Layout, Aditya Nagar, Jelly Machine Circle, Teachers Layout, Raghavendra Layout, HMT Layout, Balaji Layout, Swagat Layout, Durga Layout, BEL 6th Block, Narseepura Layout, HMT 3rd Block, HMT 4th Block, HMT 4th Block, HMT Sapthuru Block, Escort Layout, Tirumala Nagar, Akshaya Nagar, Aravind Apartment, Cauvery Layout, Doddabettahalli, and Chikkabettahalli.
