Another shocking incident of crime against women has surfaced in Bihar's Begusarai, where the victim, working with a self-help group, was taken to a hotel room and beaten before rape.
The accused allegedly raped her after threatening to leak her AI-generated obscene video of her. The woman, in her complaint, alleged that she was out to collect dues linked to the group when Vikram Kumar, one of the accused, approached her on a bike near the Lohiya Nagar area.
Rohit Kumar, another accused, was already waiting for them. The woman alleged that she was taken to a hotel room, where the accused assaulted her. A video of her being beaten by the accused has gone viral on social media.
The woman further alleged that she was threatened with a sharp weapon before being raped. The incident, which took place on Sunday, lasted several hours, the woman told cops in her complaint.
The video shows the man pulling her hair and thrashing her with slippers, according to a report by TOI. According to the woman, she escaped the assault after locking herself inside the hotel bathroom and alerting her family.
The family then reached the hotel and rescued her. By then, the accused had already fled the scene.
FIR filed
The cops have registered an FIR in the case and launched an investigation. Both the accused have been named in the FIR.
The woman also alleged that the accused demanded money from her and threatened to circulate her AI-generated, fake nude video. They used the threat as a pretext to rape her, apart from demanding money.
Begusarai town police station Inspector-cum-SHO Satish Kumar Himanshu said that based on the family's complaint, an FIR in this connection was filed on Monday evening.
