In the latest updates on the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in Delhi, thepolice revealed that the four accused had allegedly dumped her body in Swaroop Nagar. According to the cops, the incident had taken place on Friday but was discovered on Sunday when the locals found the decomposed body which had been attacked by dogs.
The teen’s body had decomposed faster, given the condition it was exposed to. The minor was raped by 4 people, including three minors. One of them was allegedly a friend of the victim.
How did the matter come to light?
On Sunday, the police officials found a mutilated body at the Kushak Road in Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area. The victim’s right hand was missing, and the face and abdomen were disfigured due to decomposition, HT reported.

The medical report confirmed that the girl was raped, stabbed multiple times and then dumped in the open area where animals had attacked her. None of the locals were able to identify the girl.
As the cops scanned CCTV footage across the area, a tempo was spotted at the alleged time of the crime. Even as the number plate was not clearly visible, the police identified the tempo. Following this, the tempo driver was picked up for interrogation. He revealed that his 17-year-old brother frequently took his tempo.
When the cops examined the footage, the four accused were spotted inside the vehicle. The accused were identified soon; however, they had fled their home. Upon initiating a thorough search, the police apprehended all four accused. Among the four, three had already confessed to committing the crime.
The Delhi police said that the victim was a school dropout and had moved to Swaroop Nagar in search of a job. Since then, the teenager had been living separately in the area. No missing-person complaint had been filed because her parents were unaware that she had gone out and had been missing for two days, the report added.
What Happened On That Day?
According to police, the victim knew one of the suspects, a 17-year-old, and had gone to meet him on the evening of September 10. Under the influence of alcohol, the suspect raped her and called his friends after she threatened to report him. The teenager was gangraped before being dragged to a nearby field on September 11, where she was stabbed six to eight times. The perpetrators then tried to hide her body under leaves and mud before fleeing the scene in a tempo.
