Delhi: A Delhi Police Head Constable and his wife were found dead inside their flat in outer north Delhi's Narela on Saturday afternoon.
Delhi Police Head Constable, Wife Found Dead
The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Monu, aged around 40, who was posted in the North District, and his wife, Meenu, aged 35. Authorities received a PCR call around 1:00 PM about a residence in the Narela area locked from the inside. Police reached the spot and, with assistance from the Fire Department, gained entry into the flat, where they found the bodies of the couple inside the same room.
What Preliminary Information Reveals?
According to preliminary information, the couple's two children were away from home at the time of the incident. Upon returning, they found the apartment locked from the inside. When their knocks went unanswered, neighbours gathered at the spot. The neighbours allegedly looked through a window and saw the woman lying dead, while Monu was found hanging, news agency PTI reported, citing sources.
Police, however, have not confirmed the sequence of events or the circumstances in which the couple died.

Investigation Underway
Senior police officials, along with a Crime Team and a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), arrived at the spot and examined the premises. The bodies have been sent to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Investigators are probing all potential angles, including whether a domestic dispute occurred before the incident. Legal proceedings are currently underway to ascertain the sequence of events and the exact cause and circumstances of the deaths.
