Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi traffic police has announced that the vehicular movement will remain restricted on several routes on Friday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. In its advisory, the authority stated that heavy crowd is expected as several programs will be organized at Rajghat and Vijay Ghat on October 2. It stated that the restrictions will remain in place in the morning hours, further advising the commuters to plan their travel accordingly.

Traffic To Be Diverted On These Routes

As per the traffic police advisory, vehicular movement will be regulated or diverted on several key roads, including ITO Chowk, Delhi Gate, Guru Nanak Chowk, Shantivan Chowk, Rajghat DTC Depot, IP Flyover, Salimgarh Y-Point, Salimgarh Bypass Cut, loop towards ISBT Kashmiri Gate on Raja Ram Kohli Marg, under Salimgarh Flyover, Subhash Marg T-Point and Sunheri Masjid Cut.

Vehicular Movement To Be Affected

The authority stated that traffic on the Ring Road from Rajghat to Salimgarh Y-Point and ISBT Kashmere Gate is likely to remain affected during the morning hours. Apart from this, vehicular movement will remain affected on other routes, such as Nishad Raj Marg, Raja Ram Kohli Marg, BSZ Marg, Shantivan Chowk to IP Flyover, Asaf Ali Road, Guru Nanak Chowk to Ranjit Singh Flyover, and from Rajghat DTC Depot to Ring Road Bypass.

Traffic Police Issues Advisory

The traffic police have urged commuters to avoid these routes and plan their travel in advance to avoid the rush. The residents have been advised to take alternative routes, avoid parking on the roadside, and use designated parking spaces. They have also been advised to utilize public transportation and to follow the instructions of on-duty traffic police officers.

While the residents of Delhi are not likely to witness rainfall on Friday, gentle breeze is expected in the morning and evening hours. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 33 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 23 degrees Celsius.
