Greater Noida Tragedy: An 11-year-old boy and his father died after falling from 23rd floor of a residential building in Greater Noida West today. The incident took place at Mahagun Mywoods society in the Bisrakh police station area. The father was reportedly having his son pluck flowers on their balcony when the child slipped and was left hanging in the balcony. In an attempt to save his son, the father, along with his son, fell from the balcony, reported Dainik Bhaskar.
Father-Son Die After Falling From 23rd Floor
The deceased father and son were identified as Randeep Patra (40) and Aarav (11). Police received information from a PRV that two people had fallen from Tower 23 of the Mahagun Mywoods society in Gaur City 2. Soon after, the Bisrakh police arrived at the spot and rushed them to the hospital. However, the doctors declared them dead following an examination.
How The Tragedy Took Place
According to the deceased's wife, the family was about to go to Khatu Shyam this morning. Randeep and Aarav went to the balcony to pluck flowers for the puja. The balcony was slippery due to rain. Aarav slipped, and while Randeep went to rescue his son, both of them fell from the balcony.
However, an investigation is underway regarding the circumstances of the accident. The Bisrakh police station has initiated the process of preparing an inquest report of both bodies and sending them for a post-mortem.
The entire area is in deep shock after the tragedy. Police said the required legal action will be taken in the case.
Earlier on Thursday, a similar incident took place in which a student died after falling from the 19th floor of the Pristine Avenue society in Gaur City 2. According to the police, the 18-year-old boy died by suicide as he was angry with his family. He aspired to become an actor.
