Jamui Minors Assault Case: Two accused in the Jamui molestation case have been injured during a police encounter in the Town Police station area on Tuesday. One accused, identified as Nandan Yadav, has been shot in his leg, while the other accused, Hareram Yadav, sustained a fracture in his leg during the face off with the police.
Nandan Yadav is the prime accused in the molestation and harassment case. According to a report by IANS, the police arrested the two and were taking them to the crime scene as part of the investigation when they attempted to escape from custody. Both the accused have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
The police identified Yadav through a viral video of the incident. Police said he was the youth seen wearing a red gamchha in the footage that surfaced on social media.

The encounter broke out hours after the Bihar police arrested another accused, Ramashish Chaudhary, who shared the assault and molestation video online. A total of six people, including three juveniles, have so far been arrested in the case.
The incident took place on September 19 in a hilly area near the Jamui-Lakhisarai border. According to police, the two class 10 students were returning after attending coaching classes when a group of youths allegedly stopped them and subjected them to alleged inappropriate behaviour.
The videos of the assault showed the accused groping the girl from behind and assaulting the boy. The videos further showed the girl pleading the accused to leave them.
The matter came to light after a video of the incident began circulating on social media on Sunday evening, prompting the district administration to contact the victim's family and register a case.
